Liam had his mission papers turned in at the end of January, 2016. He patiently waited FOUR WEEKS for that package to come in the mail. Then he decided to wait a few more days until we could have family and friends join us for the envelope opening. We finally knew where he would be serving as a full-time missionary.
This is the perfect place for Liam. He wasn't sure about having to learn a language and he'll be able to teach/serve in English. He likes history and will be in a place full of it. He gets to go far enough away to feel like he's really leaving home, but not so far away that his mom has to worry.
Even though it seems to some that 18 is too young for these young men to be heading out on missions, I know that Liam is ready. He can do this and I am SO proud of him. He has lived his life in a way to be prepared for this wonderful opportunity to serve. I know his testimony of Jesus Christ will be strengthened as he teaches others and he'll grow in more ways that I can imagine.
